Shelly Dimmer Gen3 WiFi Light Controller
The Shelly Dimmer Gen3 is a compact, single-circuit light dimmer that allows precise control of lighting brightness from a smartphone, tablet, computer or home automation system. It works over a Wi-Fi local network without the need for an additional hub, and also supports remote control via the cloud. It can work with or without a neutral wire. The device also offers Wi-Fi signal amplification, interoperability with Bluetooth and BLE Gateway, and a range of automation options, including schedules, scripts and integration with systems like Home Assistant, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings.
Working with and without a neutral wire
The Shelly Dimmer Gen3 allows installation in both systems with and without a neutral wire, which is key when retrofitting existing installations. For operation without a neutral wire, a Bypass module is required if the load is less than 20 watts - such a solution prevents the lamp from accidentally glowing after it is turned off.
Accurate measurements and protection
When the neutral wire is connected, the device allows the measurement of voltage (180-240 V), current (0-3 A) and energy consumption. These measurements are made with an accuracy of ±5%. In addition, the device is equipped with an internal temperature sensor and short-circuit and overload protection. Note: these functions work properly only when connected with a neutral conductor.
Convenient control and precise dimming
The product supports trailing edge mode, which provides smooth dimming of a wide range of light sources - from LEDs (up to 150 W) to halogen bulbs (up to 200 W) and electronic transformers. Automatic dimmer calibration guarantees a uniform dimming effect regardless of the type of light source. Built-in functions such as minimum and maximum brightness setting, transition time adjustment and night mode allow full control over lighting - both manually and through schedules.
Automation and advanced schedules
Shelly Dimmer Gen3 supports up to 20 schedules and 20 webhooks (with 5 URLs for each). It allows you to create advanced scenarios using scripts and local actions. You can schedule brightness changes, transition times and set automatic light on/off. With support for MQTT, KVS and virtual components, deep integration with advanced building automation systems is possible.
