Hardware configuration change and single component upgrade for PCs and notebooks

This service covers one hardware configuration change or the upgrade of a single component in one personal computer or notebook. It is intended for customers who want a device to be modified before delivery, for example by upgrading memory, replacing a storage drive, or installing another supported hardware component.

What is included

• One hardware configuration change or one single-component upgrade in one personal computer or notebook
• All work performed during a single device case opening session

This service is suitable for standard pre-delivery hardware modifications that can be completed as part of one installation process.

Important notes

• This service does not cover the installation or configuration of servers or storage systems
• This service does not include operating system restoration if the storage drive (HDD or SSD) is replaced
• If the order includes storage drive replacement together with restoration of the preinstalled operating system, you must use service Replacement of the factory-installed storage drive, including installation of the original OEM operating system on the new drive (P/N SC-ALL-HW-DSKCHOS)
